WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two Wilmington Police officers arrested a man for heroin possession early this morning, after approaching his car for being parked facing the wrong direction in the 1600 block of South 15th Street.

After Joshua Sean Allen, 22, consented to a vehicle search, police say he took off, but officers quickly caught him.

Investigators say they found 11 doses of heroin in the car.

Allen faces several drug charges.

Department of Corrections records show Allen is on probation for a drug possession conviction. Court records show he also has other pending charges for marijuana possession.

Why can’t we (tax payers) build an adequate number of prisons to keep these thugs in??? I would, GLADLY pay the extra taxes needed to keep these repeat offenders off of MY streets. Good job WPD Officers. I’m glad that you are doing everything possible to keep our city safe. I guess it makes the job easier when you know all of the offenders by name.
