The state probe of a Jan. 28 officer-involved shooting death in Wilmington is complete and in the hands of the New Hanover County District Attorney’s Office, an official said Tuesday.
NC State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Noelle Talley said District Attorney Ben David was given the completed investigation. David confirmed Tuesday he will review the case to determine if charges will be filed.
Gracie Louise Denk, 22, was shot and killed during a confrontation with Wilmington Police Department officers on Tabor Lane after her ex-boyfriend called 911 to say the former US Marine was threatening to harm herself.
