BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — Imagine being trapped on the 105th floor of the World Trade Center when the 9/11 attacks took place. For Joe Dittmar, that was a reality. He’s never been so close to death. But in a powerful speech he’ll describe his escape and journey home,

Thursday, April 10th, Dittmar will speack at the Dinah E. Gore Fitness & Aquatic Center on Brunswick Community College campus. Organizers say his presentation will give you goose bumps.

During an interview for Good Morning Carolina, The Foundation of Brunswick Community College member Mike Forte said, “He tells this very powerful story about what happened getting out of the building, how many people he started with and by the time he got to the ground there was only 7 people left.”

Tickets for Thursday’s event include breakfast. Money raised from the sale of each $20 will go toward student scholarships. Call (910)755-7473 or visit: http://www.brunswickcollegefoundation.com/
