BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC (WWAY) — The Prom Closet officially opened for girls looking for an elegant gown or cocktail dress for their big night.
South Brunswick High School’s cafeteria turned into a one-stop prom shop this morning with everything a girl looking to go to prom could want. From dresses to shoes, even earrings to match, each girl left with something to make them feel like royalty on prom night.
“I looked like a princess,” said Rosa Hernadez after she tired on a long, sparkly grey dress.
Doors opened at 8 a.m. and students are welcomed through 2 p.m.
Everything was free for the students and their to keep, unless they wanted to donate their finds back to the racks for next year’s prom.
It was all made possible by members of the community who donated the dresses, shoes, jewelry, and purses.
