Body found at Camp Lejeune

The body of 49-year-old Keith West was found today in shallow water on Camp Lejeune.

He was a member of the Marine Corps Community Service Unit at Camp Lejeune. Family members reported the man missing on Tuesday.

He was believed to be operating a small fishing boat that was found idling with the keys still in the ignition. The incident is currently under investigation by Fish and Wildlife, but no foul play is suspected.
