WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Wilmington Sharks and Pink Ribbon of Hope Essentials will be working together during the Friday, July 18th game versus the Peninsula Pilots to help gather funding for breast cancer research.

There will be several events and promotions going on during the evening. The Hooters Girls will be making an appearance, and later will be holding a silent auction for their shirts after the game. All proceeds will go to HooCEF (Hooters Community Endowment Fund), which supports the Jimmy V Foundation. Also after the game, the Sharks will hold a silent auction of their own on a select number of pink Wilmington Sharks jerseys that the players and coaches will wear during the game.

Pink Ribbon of Hope and the American Cancer Society will have tables set up before and throughout the game for further information on breast cancer and its research. Both charities will have items for sale with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Finally, there will be a special dance performance by Techniques In Motion during the seventh inning stretch.

Fans are encouraged to wear their pink in support for finding a cure. Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the game between the Sharks and Pilots will begin at 7 p.m.

Pink Ribbon of Hope Essentials believes that the pink ribbon stands for not only breast cancer awareness, but for hope as well.
