Tapas spirit is to eat by whim, free from rules or schedules. Tapas represent a variety of tastes and textures that are complimentary to one another. They are served in small portions. They are meant for immediate gratification. We at Circa 1922 have tried to capture the spirit of tapas; fresh exquisitely presented and highly creative small plates. We hope we have adopted the camaraderie, spontaneity and good times that are so much a part of the tapas tradition in Spain.

If you want to get dressed up

Circa is a fantastic date spot. It's a beautiful restaurant, but the bathrooms are located up a flight of narrow stairs, so if you have a broken leg...I would wait.
The tapas are delicious (Tuna tataki...YUMMM!), and I like to go there when I want a light, delicious meal and some wine. The food is fantastic, but if you're meeting a large man for dinner, or if you are a large man wanting dinner, I would just eat tapas here and then go for dinner someplace else. My boyfriend (6' 200lbs) took me here for my birthday and he ordered a steak and looked at me and said, "What is this? I wanted something off the adult menu!" The portion was so small, I had to take him back up the street later that night to Slice of Life because he was still hungry after eating tapas + $18 meal for himself + shared dessert + cocktails. Go to eat great food, not to become full.

I ate there last night and

I ate there last night and our waiter did not get half the people at our tables order correct or he would keep coming back to ask. I waited 10 mins after everyone had there dinner before mine came. The salad was a good portion but our dinners were really small. I ate the lobster ravioli and only had 4 raviolis that were about the size of a quater with very little sauce.
