What's Happening Across The Cape Fear This Weekend

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — If you’re interested in collecting TV set pieces, having an entertaining brunch, or if you and your dog are looking to get out and about this weekend, there are plenty of fun events happening across the Cape Fear.

If you’re a fan of Amazon Prime’s “The Runarounds”, you may have a chance to snag a piece of TV memorabilia for yourself over the weekend. A set sale featuring everything from costumes and props to set decorations is happening Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The event takes place at 1325 Castle Hayne Road and will be cash only.

On Saturday at Carolina Beach State Park, there will be a Golden Retriever meetup. If you have a golden pup, you can head to the Marina Trailheads and enjoy a one-and-a-half-mile walk leading to the water, where you can let your dog splash around to their heart’s desire. Owners are asked to bring water, a leash, and poop bags for their dogs and to be mindful of letting their pet greet other dogs. The event starts at 9 a.m. and is free to attend.

Finally, on Sunday, the Eagle’s Dare will be hosting a special Pride Month drag brunch with Tara Nicole Brooks. Tickets include light refreshments, and attendees are asked to come early in order to get a good seat. Doors open at 12 p.m., and the show starts around 1 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online.

Whether you’re getting out and meeting other pooches like your own, partying with drag queens, or purchasing a local show’s props, there are plenty of fun events across the Cape Fear this weekend, so don’t forget to tag us on socials and have fun.
