Two Camp Lejeune Marines were in court Tuesday facing charges stemming from the death of Lieutenant Holly Wimunc.

Marine Corporal John Wimunc appeared before a judge in Fayetteville. He faces charges of first-degree murder, and arson. Another Marine, Lance Corporal Kyle Alden, was also charged with arson and as an accomplice in the murder.

Army Second Lieutenant Holly Wimunc was a nurse stationed at Fort Bragg's Womack Army Medical Center. She had been missing since last week. Co-workers found a fire in her apartment Thursday. Her charred body was discovered Sunday, about a mile and a half off of Old Folkstone Road in Sneads Ferry.
