This past weekend a group of neighbors in the Monkey Junction area say they could not reach 9-1-1 when trying to report a fire. County Emergency Services Director Warren Lee looked into the situation and says the 9-1-1 operators on duty during the fire did not follow the emergency management guidelines.

There was quite a battle at Buck Hardy field Monday night. It was a clash of the titans as Wilmington Police took on Wilmington Firefighters.
A good crowd turned out for the game. Allegiances were split, although the firemen did some good pre-game marketing with fire hats.

A fight broke out behind the school while a talent show was going on inside. The school resource officer and a faculty member attempted to break up the fight and were rushed by the crowd.
