DURHAM (AP) -- Duke University says it has settled a lawsuit by a former lacrosse player.
Former player Kyle Dowd and his parents sued the school saying a professor gave him a bad grade because he was on the team.
Tensions on campus ran high after a stripper accused team members of raping her at a party. Dowd was never accused in the attack and charges against three accused players were dropped last month.
The details of the settlement aren't public. But in a statement today Duke says neither side admitted any liability.
The lawsuit said Dowd got an "F" in a course he took last spring. The school later changed it to a "D" and said there'd been a calculation error.
The statement says Dowd has received a passing grade. He graduated last year.
