Despite a slumping economy, local realtors found a reason to celebrate Thursday night. With Flag Day coming up Sunday, the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors decked out in red, white and blue for a bash aboard the Battleship North Carolina.
There was barbecue and lots of talk about the business as we move into the summer home-selling season.
Tax incentives, combined with low interest rates and lower prices, have realtors hoping for a lively summer here across the Cape Fear region.

I don;t know if people bas their numbers on national averages.. But from local numbers only from the local MLS ( www.thewilmingtonmls.com ) and ( www.wrar.com ) NOW is the time to buy... Especially with $8000 tax credit and housing prices bottomed out.... There truly is a reason to celebrate....
I see people slamming Realtors on here from time to time... But my Mom and Dad are Realtors... There are about 1800 of them in our area and behind the scenes they (all the realtors and their MLS )do so much for the city and donate time and money to city projects... People don't give credit to Realtors in Wilmingon.. They raise a ton onf money for all of us... Heres something I found out... Their association is non profit.. So for all you haters always posting how they are getting rich..... Not true... They are all struggling like all of us just trying to make ends meat..
