Magazine lists PPD as safe investment

WILMINGTON -- In these rocky economic times many people are looking for a good place to invest their money.

The cover story of this month's Smart Money Magazine has put together a list of safe investments that they say "provide calm in a financial storm."

The first stock on their list is Wilmington's own PPD.

The pharmaceutical developer has profits 22 times higher than expected this year and the magazine cites several advantages it holds over rival research companies that make it a safe bet for investment.
