FCC Chairman talks DTV in Port City

FCC Chairman Kevin Martin will be part of a town hall meeting today to discuss Wilmington's early switch to digital television. The meeting is at 4 p.m. in the Community Room at the UNCW Executive Development Center on Cilitary Cutoff Road in Wilmington.

Our five-county market is scheduled to make the switch to digital Sept. 8. We'll serve as a test for the rest of the country, which must transition by Feb. 17, 2009.
