CAMP LEJEUNE -- Marine Corps Special Operations Command is graduating its last Marine Special Operations Advisor Course.
The class of 51 Marines and sailors will graduate in a ceremony Friday at Camp Lejeune. It's the last class to complete the seven-month advisor course taught by the Marine Special Operations Advisor Group. The students are trained to act as military advisors for foreign armies around the world.
The new curriculum, which starts later this year, will be incorporated into the Marine Special Operations Individual Training Course, which is taught by the Marine Special Operations School.
New students will be taught the full spectrum of special operations skills and missions before getting more specialized training for their individual jobs.
