DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Duke forward Josh McRoberts is making himself available to the NBA.
He announced this afternoon that he's forgoing the final two seasons of his eligibility and putting his name in the hat for the 2007 NBA Draft scheduled for late June.
McRoberts says it's a difficult decision, but he thinks it's the best one for him and his family.
Coach Mike Krzyzewski says he's met with McRoberts and his mother and he's totally behind the decision.
McRoberts averaged 13 points and 8 rebounds per game this season. He also led the team in field goal accuracy, hitting 50 percent of his shots.
The native of Carmel, Indiana, was the only player in the NCAA to average at least 10 points, seven and a half rebounds, two and a half blocks and three and a half assists per game this season.
