UNCW is looking for a new softball coach.
After seven seasons as head coach Melissa Jarrell quit today.
Athletic director Kelly Mehrtens said in a statement Jarrell decided because of personal reasons, it was in her best interest to resign.
Jarrell and her former domestic partner, State Senator Julia Boseman recently defaulted on the loan for their $1.3 million home in New Hanover County.
No word on if Jarrell's decision to quit was connected to the loan problem.

wow this is making me wonder
wow this is making me wonder why????? , a good career and education are earned and dedication ,sacrifices are made to achieve that goal , after all her hard work, why i wonder, melissa was very nice and kind ,im gonna miss her at the games ,why would you quit your job if you had finiancial problems, maybe it was for her children her mother duties were more important .
lost.....
no job.....no house.....no girlfriend....i'm so sorry!!!
I pay my bills...
but this will definitely put a "ding" in Julia's credit score.
It's interesting that she can remove her name from the deed, but thankfully, she's still on the hook for the debt.
Our elected represenatives should lead by example.
I can't afford $7000 a month
If fiscal responsibility is any measure of what people want in a representative, Julia doesn't measure up.
Removing her name from the title is comparable to a man transferring property just before a divorce.
My opinion is this shows what kind of rep she is.
She should resign.
PRONTO
Very same opinion...
If she can't do any better with her personal life why should I trust her as an elected official?
