ยป e-mail this story | discuss | print  ONSLOW COUNTY -- A bizarre request Monday morning at the Onslow County Sheriff's Office. Lolita Bullock turned herself in for robbing the Bank of America in Jacksonville on May 4. But she also wanted to cash in on a reward being offered in the case. Lolita brought a friend with her to the Sheriff's office to claim the reward money. It will be up to Crime Stoppers to decide if her friend deserves the reward.

How do you know that the
How do you know that the friend didn't talk her into giving herself up? If the friend had simply called the cops, there would be no question - she would get the reward. So why should the friend be penalized for going the "extra mile" and actually bringing the culprit in?

Wouldn't it be a glorious day if someone with the power and balls to do so would take this screwed up American judicial system, turn it upside down make it work like it supposed to. Throw out rediculous law suits and set a precedent that makes gold diggers think twice before filing a law suit. It feeds the media, the American people feed of the media frenzy and the media continue to feed us trash day after day after day. This country needs a serious wake up call, its embarrasing!! What are we doing to our selves and our children? How dumb do we have to be to continue like we are? If we want to claim to be the greatest nation on earth, its about time we tried to be, because we certainly are no where close to that claim.

If she hires a lawyer (and one "will" jump on this lime lighter) and the lawyer finds out that there is no rule against "whom ever" receiving the award for the assistance of the arrest of this criminal...she'll receive the award.
We live in just about a crazy enough world for this to happen.
Best thing to happen with this story is to never have printed it and bury it. That way the crazed news media won't turn it into her favor, which they can do, and will try to do just that with help from a lawyer.
